This pillow is extraordinary and has an amazing story to tell.
While shopping at a silk factory in Chiang Mai, Thailand I met an amazing artisan named Deang with no hands. He paints beautiful textiles entirely by MOUTH. In an effort to help support Deang’s miraculous efforts and artistry, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of this pillow will go directly back to him. This is part of Steel Feather’s Outreach program called Hope for Harmony. This program celebrates those overcoming adversity.
Steel Feathers is a socially conscience business. The textiles have been carefully curated to help support sustainable and healthy living in impoverished villages and communities. The pillows are made by hand in Austin, Texas with zippers and filled with custom down/feather inserts (included in price).
